Description
A kamaya made for you by hand in Petah Tikva. Each one holds sand of the Land, a feather, and a pasuk you choose, cut by hand from a Tanakh that was retired to the genizah (the storeroom for worn holy books). The page served its years in someone’s hands. Now it travels with you.
You choose
- Form: a glass tube worn as a necklace, a round cork bottle to hang in the car, or one to stand on your desk.
- Feather: crow or quail. The ravens fed Eliyahu at the brook (1 Kings 17:6). The quail fed Israel in the desert (Exodus 16:13).
- Sand from the Land of Israel.
- Your pasuk: any verse from Tanakh. Write it in the order notes at checkout (book, chapter, verse, or just the words). Not sure? Leave it blank and we will choose one for your name.
- Oil (optional): a drop of carob, chai, or any of our oils.
Every kamaya is one of a kind. Allow 7 to 10 days to make and send.
