Tzitzit Necklace: Pocket Watch

Description

A vintage-style pocket watch hung on knotted tzitzit strings. The tzitzit count the days in their knots; the watch counts the hours. Wear the two together.

Each necklace is strung with tzitzit strings that once hung from a tallit and were set aside for the genizah. A genizah is a vault, a place where holy things are stored and never thrown away. These strings come back out of it to be worn close to the heart.

וּרְאִיתֶם אֹתוֹ וּזְכַרְתֶּם אֶת כׇּל מִצְוֺת ה׳

You shall see it and remember all the commandments of Hashem. Bamidbar 15:39

Handmade in small batches in Petah Tikva. No two are alike: every set of strings carries its own knots, wear and history.
